This morning I’m sad, afraid, disappointed and somewhat shocked. The election results are so much to process and unpack. Today I mourn and tomorrow I recalibrate. No essay today. Just prayers and coming to terms with Donald Trump being who the American people elected. I will always stand up for our constitution and do my best to be a good citizen. Be gentle and kind with yourself today, people. Then find the center of your strength, because life must go on . . . and we must find ways to live together in peace and goodwill as we navigate the new waters of these new times.

A Canadian friend sent me a British saying, "When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and carry on." Yes. Mourn. And carry on. 🧡🧡
"Today we mourn. Tomorrow we recalibrate." Thank you for the gift of this mantra, Stephanie. 💕
